Job Summary:
The
Maintenance Supervisor - Mechanical will be responsible for
directing the Maintenance departments to
prepare and fulfill repair,
construction, and preventive maintenance
schedules which maximize the
availability of production equipment and
facilities throughout the plant and
office areas. Job

The
Maintenance Supervisor - Mechanical will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:

The
Maintenance Supervisor - Mechanical will
initiate and control cost effective
methods of operation for the Plant
Maintenance Department
-
Maximize
availability of tools and equipment in
the plants through prompt and reliable
maintenance
-
Insure a
well-trained and properly motivated
workforce and supervisory staff
-
The
Maintenance Supervisor - Mechanical will
develop safe and well-maintained
departmental areas
-
Initiate
operating improvements through
innovative maintenance techniques
-
The
Maintenance Supervisor - Mechanical will
manage and control the preventative
maintenance program on the plant and
equipment
-
He/She will
contribute to the Company current and
long-range budgetary equipment
rehabilitation programs consistent with
Company objectives
The
Maintenance Supervisor - Mechanical will
effectively interpret and administer the
Company and bargaining unit document
consistent with good management
procedures.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
Skill For Maintenance Supervisor -
Mechanical Job

The
Maintenance Supervisor - Mechanical
should possess thorough technical and
mechanical knowledge
-
Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of heavy
industry mechanical systems including
High Pressure Hydraulics, furnaces and
Grit Blasting equipment
-
The
Maintenance Supervisor - Mechanical
should have 4 years experience in Heavy
Manufacturing (Steel making, automotive
or forging preferred)
-
He/She
should have union shop experience
(preferred)
-
Experience in maintenance planning and
CMMS system a plus
-
The
Maintenance Supervisor - Mechanical
should possess
basic
electrical maintenance skills
-
He/She
should possess basic computer skills:
data management and analysis; word
processing; spreadsheets, email and
internet
-
Possess
written
and oral communication skills
-
The
Maintenance Supervisor - Mechanical
should have
thorough
understanding of machines used in shop
-
He/She
should possess the
ability
to see, communicate, hear and utilize
electronic communication devices
-
Should be
able to
serve on
an on-call basis (24/7), responding to
issues and concerns.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For
Maintenance Supervisor - Mechanical Job

Bachelor’s degree and/or technical
certification and/or equivalent work
experience.
