Maintenance Planner and Scheduler Job Description

 

 

 

Job Description:

The Maintenance Planner and Scheduler will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • The Maintenance Planner and Scheduler will detailed work order plans including resources, known materials, equipment, specialty contractors and HSSE requirements

  • He/She will create and publish efficient and workable daily schedules for all site maintenance resources including support crafts and equipment

  • Provide yearly reactive and PM work schedules

  • The Maintenance Planner and Scheduler will create job packets, including all relevant information, for job plans

  • The Maintenance Planner and Scheduler will perform individual performance development- develop and implement self improvement plans

  • Perform accurate cost estimates on work plans

  • The Maintenance Planner and Scheduler will provide leadership development training

  • Perform robust Individual Development Plan for self development

  • Coach other Maintenance Execution Process performers on requirements and handoffs

  • The Maintenance Planner and Scheduler will train others for succession planning

  • Model and coach proper behavior in Safety, Environmental and Core Values

  • He/She will plan all maintenance related work orders

  • Order all known material for maintenance activities

  • The Maintenance Planner and Scheduler will create work orders in SAP

  • He/She will ensure, with Maintenance and Production, the plans and schedules for maintenance of equipment are understood, workable and adhered

  • He/She will facilitate the development, competencies and improvement of refinery personnel in the ME work process

  • The Maintenance Planner and Scheduler will facilitate communication and alignment improvements between all stakeholders

  • He/She will seek opportunities and will be fully engaged in improving efficiencies of the maintenance processes

  • The Maintenance Planner and Scheduler will be fully engaged in waste elimination, continuous improvement and team building processes.  

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Maintenance Planner and Scheduler Job

  • The Maintenance Planner and Scheduler must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
  • He/She should have three (3) years direct experience in maintenance work with emphasis on maintenance planning and scheduling and improvement strategies related to those activities
  • The Maintenance Planner and Scheduler should be fully proficient in Maintenance Execution
  • Show proven experience with Primavera P6 software, Microsoft Projects, SAP and other industry standard planning and scheduling programs
  • The Maintenance Planner and Scheduler will need to show proven supervisory experience.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Maintenance Planner and Scheduler Job

  • High School diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred.
