The
Maintenance Mechanic II will be responsible for
properly maintaining and repairing
assigned company production machinery,
mechanical equipment, and/or property in
a generalist capacity. He/She may
include preventative maintenance,
welding and fabrication as needed.

The
Maintenance Mechanic II will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
The
Maintenance Mechanic II will be
responsible for maintenance, repairs,
and preventative maintenance of all
equipment and assisting advanced level
maintenance positions in keeping all
equipment and facility in good repair to
insure continuous and effective
operation as one of the following:
production/packaging equipment mechanic,
plumber, welder, machinist, fabricator
or drafter
Perform
minor repairs as directed from senior
maintenance such as lifting,
positioning, and fastening objects using
hand tools
He/She
will
perform setup and tear down of equipment
and may assist with major repairs and/or
construction required to plant buildings
and stationary equipment, fabrication of
parts, and installation of new plant
equipment Maintain tools, equipment and
supplies to maintain an orderly work
area according to policies, procedures,
and guidelines
The
Maintenance Mechanic II will
participate in and successfully complete
training directed at increasing
job-related trade skills as mandated by
management/supervisor and assist in
training Maintenance I positions
The
Maintenance Mechanic II will
assist
Senior Maintenance and train Maintenance
I employees in keeping all equipment in
good repair and regularly serviced
Assist
with welding and fabrication of
equipment used for processing and
packaging
Responsible for individually performing
maintenance work on all equipment as
directed
He/She
will
perform all duties in compliance with
company policies and procedures and in a
safe manner according to State, Federal
and company regulations
The
Maintenance Mechanic II will
assist
and ensure all areas are returned to a
clean, neat, orderly, and safe condition
according to policy and procedure
He/She
will
perform other work, as assigned.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
Skill For Maintenance Mechanic II Job
The
Maintenance Mechanic II should have the
ability to perform all Maintenance
Mechanic I duties
Possess
knowledge of PLC software and ability to
perform minor PLC program adjustments on
equipment
He/She should have the
ability
to read electrical schematics, diagnose
problems with programmable controllers
on equipment, and operate electrical
testing equipment and machining
equipment
The
Maintenance Mechanic II
should
have basic knowledge and understanding
of ammonia refrigeration systems
The
ability
to read and interpret documents such as
safety rules, operating and maintenance
instructions, and procedure manuals
He/She
should have the
ability to complete work orders, carry
out instructions furnished in written,
oral or diagram form, and complete
required paperwork
The
Maintenance Mechanic II should have the
ability
to add, subtract, multiply, divide in
all units of measure, using whole
numbers, common fractions, and decimals
and calculate figures and amounts such
as proportions, percentages, area,
circumference and volume
Possess
mechanical knowledge and ability to
expand knowledge and skills via
on-the-job and formal training directed
at increasing job-related skills as
mandated by management/Supervisor,
including all required OSHA training
The
Maintenance Mechanic II should be able
to
learn
basic computer skills, including SAP
Maintenance Module
He/She
should possess the
ability
to obtain a valid forklift license
Good
problem solving skills

sufficient to communicate in a

The
Maintenance Mechanic II should be able

Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For
Maintenance Mechanic II Job
The
Maintenance Mechanic II should possess
High School Diploma or equivalent
required
Two-year
degree in specialized maintenance trade
preferred
1-3 years
related experience and/or training or
equivalent combination of education and
experience.
