Maintenance Engineer - Plumber Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Maintenance Engineer - Plumber will be responsible for all aspects of the domestic hot and cold water systems.

Job Description:

The Maintenance Engineer - Plumber will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • The Maintenance Engineer - Plumber will perform installation of domestic water lines, sewer, and ongoing normal water associated maintenance activities throughout the facility

  • Responsible for repairs, install, replace and test all plumbing components and equipment

  • He/She will use hand tools and testing instruments

  • The Maintenance Engineer - Plumber will provide journeyman level experience with a health care background either in new construction or plant maintenance

  • He/She will perform all work in accordance with City, State and National Plumbing Codes. 

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Maintenance Engineer - Plumber Job

  • The Maintenance Engineer - Plumber should have 10 years experience in the plumbing field
  • He/She should have prior health care experience.
  • 10 years experience as a journeyman plumber
  • Must have an understanding and working knowledge of Life Safety inspections related to medical gas testing and repairs
  • The Maintenance Engineer - Plumber must have extensive experience in a health care setting and well rounded in all aspects of building maintenance.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Maintenance Engineer - Plumber Job

  • High School degree or GED, plus a trade school
  • Plumbing apprenticeship and or 10 years experience in building trades
  • Medical gas certified or obtainable certification within six months of employment.
