Job Summary:
The
Lead Maintenance will be
responsible for providing leadership,
communication, and work direction for
employees by delegating responsibilities
and assigning tasks.Job
Description:
The
Lead Maintenance will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:

Prioritize W/O’s, schedule labor and
delegate work assignments
-
Drive
line attainment and control costs by
directing timely maintenance, PM’s, and
reducing downtime
-
Coach and
review the work of others for adherence
to predefined standards and procedures
-
Demonstrate job functions and
orient/train new employee to the line or
work unit
-
Complete
and approve routine, daily production
paperwork, ensuring proper documentation
for functional area is followed
-
Maintain
control of parts inventory
-
Communicate regularly with Production
and all appropriate departments to
resolve equipment issues requiring
immediate attention, and contacts
Supervisor regarding any problems that
occur on the line
-
Participate in workload as needed and
complete all required training to
maintain and advance maintenance skills
-
Ensure
compliance with USDA and OSHA
-
Provide
input and recommendations to supervisor
regarding work performance of employees
on assigned line.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
Skill For Lead Maintenance Job

Knowledge
of PLC software and ability to perform
minor PLC program adjustments on
equipment
-
Ability
to read electrical schematics, diagnose
problems with programmable controllers
on equipment, and operate electrical
testing equipment and machining
equipment
-
Ability
to manage time well, deal with multiple
tasks and handle stressful situations.
Good communication and reasoning skills
to retrieve information from co-workers
and relay information to and from all
employee levels
-
Strong
interpersonal skills, problem-solving,
and effective communication skills
-
Basic
computer and knowledge of or ability to
learn SAP
-
Previous
leadership or supervisory experience
preferred and ability to develop a
cohesive working team

Ability
to understand and operate machinery
-
Prior
manufacturing experience
-
Ability
to direct a work crew, delegate
responsibilities
-
Demonstrated commitment to quality and
safety
-
Ability
to work a flexible schedule as
determined by workload
-
Ability
to lift ninety (90) lbs.
-
3-5 year
maintenance experience and/or training.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For
Lead Maintenance Job

Two-year
degree in specialized trade or
equivalent combination of education and
experience.
