Intern - Facility Maintenance Management Job Description

 

 

 

Job Description:

The Intern - Facility Maintenance Management will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Work collaboratively with Company technical personnel and suppliers on various maintenance improvement projects

  • Paired with a Company subject matter expert (mentor) in order to provide familiarity with equipment, related systems and processes in order to implement preventive maintenance operation and technical improvements

  • Develop and maintain peer and customer partnerships

  • Seek and use customer feedback, and meet commitments to customers on time and keep them informed

  • Ensure personal and team work activities are completed accurately, efficiently, and in a timely manner

  • At the end of the work period, each intern will be offered the opportunity to present their improvement project to the regional executive leadership for evaluation and potential deployment.    

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Intern - Facility Maintenance Management Job

  • Leadership, Communication, Analytical, Operational, Planning and Budget development skills in a team environment

  • Ability to identify and evaluate project and process issues and then develop and execute appropriate solutions

  • Ability to apply basic Maintenance principles to sustain, repair, improve and project management of maintenance activities

  • Thorough understanding of basic spreadsheet preparation and PowerPoint presentation preparation

  • Good organizational and problem solving capabilities desired

  • AUTOCAD skill is a plus

  • Ability to use appropriate discretion, and sensitive to confidentiality

  • Demonstrated high ethical standards

  • Experience in Electrical design, Mechanical HVAC system design and construction fields are a plus

  • Fair, honest and straightforward in dealing with others.   

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Intern - Facility Maintenance Management Job

  • High school diploma or GED
  • Prefer a student with 3+ years of college working towards a BA or a BS in Construction or Facilities Management, who is interested in Facilities type building equipment/construction/project management work.
