Factory Mould Maintenance Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Factory Mould Maintenance will be responsible for tracking and maintaining mould surfaces and repair as necessary, change vacuum line components and repair vacuum system consumables.

Job Description:

The Factory Mould Maintenance will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Perform regular maintenance on web and blade moulds

  • Repair surfaces to specified finish tolerances, both aluminum and gel coat surfaces

  • Perform basic cleaning and rebuilding of machine parts

  • Understand basic electricity, hydraulics and pneumatics

  • Maintain a clean and orderly work environment

  • Select, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as jig borers, grinders, and shapers

  • Verify conformance of finished work pieces to specifications

  • Fit and assemble parts into complete assembly

  • Verify dimensions and alignment of assembly

  • Confer with engineers, production personnel, or others to resolve mould or vacuum assembly problems

  • Safely perform duties related to generating and storing hazardous waste in satellite accumulation areas

  • Use and handle hazardous materials, and understand their hazards at various locations using machines and equipment, properly segregate hazardous materials and waste

  • Communicate to warehouse and/or shipping the transport of hazardous materials and waste according to strict regulatory requirements

  • Comply with state and federal regulations for handling, storage, disposal, transport etc. of hazardous materials and waste

  • Perform all other duties as assigned.    

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Factory Mould Maintenance Job

  • Ability to perform each essential duty satisfactorily
  • Background in auto body repair work and repairing surface defects highly desirable
  • Ability to read and comprehend complex instructions, short correspondence, and memos
  • Ability to write simple correspondence
  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to other employees of the organization
  • Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding
  • Ability to deal with problems involving a few concrete variables in standardized situations
  • Strong natural ability to work in teams
  • Strong Desire to Learn New Skills & Knowledge
  • Excellent work ethic, dependability & dedication to team/company

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Factory Mould Maintenance Job

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Auto body certified would be a plus.
