The
Electronic Specialist and General
Maintenance will safely repair and
maintain electronic equipment and
associated components; perform
installation and maintenance of plant
electrical systems.
Job
Description:
The
Electronic Specialist and General
Maintenance will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:

Receive
job assignment(s) and/or special
instructions from supervisor -
Maintain
electronic equipment and associated
components by performing appropriate
diagnostic, trouble-shooting adjustment,
repair, and preventive/predictive
maintenance activities -
Install
electronic and/or electrical equipment
and associated components as directed by
supervision -
Report
apparent equipment problems/malfunctions
to supervisor -
Order
materials and parts required completing
assignment(s) and reporting to
supervisor -
Maintain
work areas and equipment in a clean,
safe, and orderly manner -
Clean-up
and remove project-related debris or
equipment from assigned areas utilizing
tow motor, or hand truck as appropriate -
Attend
training classes, department meetings
and perform other duties as assigned by
supervisor.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill

Capable
of comprehending and understanding both
verbal and written work instructions,
technical documentation, and other
support material as related to the
execution of job duties/assignments

Basic
mathematical skills as needed to support
calculations used in this type of work

Ability
to wear all personal protective
equipment as required
-
Ability
to reach, climb, twist, stoop, and lift
of materials up to 50 pounds
-
Ability
to work in confined spaces and at
elevated heights
-
Dexterity
and coordination in the use of a wide
variety of hand and power tools and
equipment.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For
Electronic Specialist and General
Maintenance Job
-
Five
(5) years experience; or two (2)
year post-secondary education in
electronics trades and three (3)
years experience, in a similar
industrial environment which
includes installation and
trouble-shooting; or have passed
equivalency test.
