Job Summary:
The
Distribution Center Maintenance
Supervisor will
be responsible for managing the
departmental shift preventative
maintenance and repair activities within
the distribution center in accordance
with company policies and procedures.
Job
Description:
The
Distribution Center Maintenance
Supervisor will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
-
Responsible for the interviewing, hiring
and supervision of Housekeepers, Utility
Workers and Maintenance Technicians -
Provide
training, set performance goals and
provide evaluative feedback to all
direct reports -
Prioritize, communicate and assign all
shift work assignments to associates -
Monitor
and control departmental expenses
including overtime to meet or exceed
financial plan -
Prepare
and conduct performance appraisals for
Housekeepers, Utility Workers and
Maintenance Technicians -
Initiate,
conduct and seek appropriate approvals
involving disciplinary action up to and
including terminations of all associates
within assigned area -
Ensure
maintenance-level compliance with key
company standards of safety, facility
maintenance, postings/notifications and
other administrative duties as
identified and/or as directed by the
Manager, Maintenance and Building
Services -
Communicate with external vendors and
contractors regarding proposed
contracted work, job bids, job status
and parts availability -
Take
proactive role in establishing and
carrying out shrinkage control
disciplines and programs and accept high
level of responsibility for distribution
center’s shrinkage performance -
Assume
all supervisory responsibilities
concerning Human Resources policies and
wage administration including daily and
weekly KRONOS payroll processing -
Use
discretion and independent judgment
while maintaining the integrity of
Company Mission, Vision and Values
statement in making all business
decisions.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill
For Distribution Center Maintenance
Supervisor Job
-
One to
three years previous experience in a
supervisory capacity within a
Distribution Center strongly preferred
-
Strong
knowledge of industrial maintenance
operations
-
Working
knowledge of general Distribution Center
operations
-
Previous
Computer Maintenance Management System
(CMMS) knowledge preferred
-
Strong
oral and written communication,
organizational and time management
skills
-
Knowledge
of mechanical, electrical AC/DC
electrical circuitry, HVAC, plumbing,
carpentry, conveyor and forklift
maintenance
-
Ability
to perform physical activity at a
sustained pace including walking,
bending and lifting within a
Distribution Center environment.
