Job Summary:
The
Trainee - Human Resources Management
will have the opportunity to embark on a
personal and professional development
experience. He/She will be immersed in a
highly technical and quality-driven
production environment where he/she will
play a key role ensuring Company has the
appropriate people resources and safety
awareness to achieve its standards of
continuous improvement and manufacturing
excellence.
He/She
will learn Company operations and how
Human Resources interacts with other
factory functions as he/she rotates
through hands-on projects and
assignments with Company production,
engineering management, quality
assurance, supply chain, finance, and
human resources teams.
Following
his/her rotation, he/she will
collaborate with his/her HR mentor and
leverage his/her new business knowledge
to execute and enhance people strategies
for the duration of his/her trainee
experience (typically 18-24 months).
Job
Description:
The
Trainee - Human Resources Management will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
Employee
Relations - Gaining exposure to employee
relations, H. R. administration, hiring
practices, disciplinary actions,
employee grievances, policy development,
activities, plant communications, and
performance management
Recruiting - Gain knowledge and
experience in the area of recruitment
and selection process to include
professional, college, and production.
Participation on the College Recruiting
Team for the Manufacturing Division of
NPPC including Career Fairs, Campus
Recruiting, and plant visits
Training
- Gain experience in the development,
organization, and implementation of
training programs that meet factory
goals and legal requirements, conduct
new employee orientations, assist new
hires in plant training and provide
mentor assistance for new trainees
Compensation/Benefits Administration -
Gain working knowledge of benefit and
compensation plans and become proficient
at communicating plan information to
employees
Safety
Administration - Gain exposure to and
knowledge of OSHA Regulations, Worker's
Compensation, Hazard Communication,
Safety Committee representation, Safety
Audits and inspections, Accident
investigations/counseling, Safety
campaigns/promotions, and training
Other
responsibilities as assigned.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill

Previous co-op or practicum
experience desirable
Manufacturing experience a plus
Student organization and leadership
experiences desirable
Must
have initiative, responsibility,
leadership potential and a solid
work ethic.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For

Bachelor's degree in Human Resource
Management, Business Administration,
or related field or will attain by
June 2012
