Manager Human Resources Operations Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Manager Human Resources Operations will be responsible for the design and implementation of Human Resources strategies and programs to help achieve business goals for an assigned division/department. He/She must be able to make sound business decisions, solve complex problems, and lead various HR initiatives.   

Job Description:

The Manager Human Resources Operations will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Serve as a member of the division/department leadership team and facilitate the development of human resource strategies

  • Advise management on appropriate resolution of issues related to staffing, employee performance, training/development, organizational structure, compensation, etc.

  • Partner with other HR departments to develop policies and programs which meet current and future business requirements

  • Provide coaching to leaders and employees on Devon's attributes

  • Act as a change agent, providing counsel as a partner in successfully managing continuous improvement

  • Lead employee/supervisory investigations and make recommendations regarding options, outcomes and potential liability

  • Recommend new approaches, policies, and procedures to effect continual improvements in efficiency of department and services performed

  • Facilitate the annual compensation planning, succession planning, and other human capital management processes

  • Supervise HR operations and support staff

  • Ensure new hire, promotion, salary increase, and organizational decisions provide competitive and equitable compensation and reward performance

  • Maintain compliance with federal and state employment laws and regulations. 

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Manager Human Resources Operations Job

  • 10 years of human resource operations experience with at least 3 years supervisory experience
  • Specialized knowledge of all HR functions (eg, employment, talent management, compensation, benefits, compliance, organizational development, employee relations)
  • Advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements and laws related to human resource management (eg, Title VII, FLSA, ADA, FMLA, ADEA)
  • Demonstrated technical expertise in several major areas of HR (e.g., employment, employee relations, EEO, etc.)
  • Advanced understanding of the Company's policies, procedures, and practices related to human resources, conflicts of interest, confidentiality, etc.
  • Advanced knowledge of regulatory requirements and laws related to human resources management
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite and HR system applications (e.g. SAP, PeopleSoft, Lawson, etc).Ability to travel is required

  • Organizational Agility - Ability to interact and work with senior management to resolve HR/business issues.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Manager Human Resources Operations Job

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources Management, Business or related discipline
  • Masters degree, PHR/SPHR desired.
