The
Human Resources Manager Operations –
Traveling will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
Act as
the HR business partner to Operations
management by providing
professional expertise and guidance on
personnel policies, recruitment,
compensation, employee relations,
training and regulatory compliance to
ensure that policies and procedures are
followed consistently and in a timely
manner
Manage
the day-to-day activity of the HR Ops
office and HR Ops staff to ensure
effectiveness, including: determining
workload and delegating assignments,
training, monitoring, evaluating
performance and coaching
Serve as
a link between management and Ops
employees by handling questions,
interpreting and administering policies,
and helping resolve work-related
problems
Consistently provide outstanding
customer service
Advise
managers on organizational policy
matters such as equal employment
opportunity and sexual harassment;
recommend needed changes
Identify
staff vacancies and oversee the
coordination and fulfillment of hiring
requisitions (recruit, interview and
select candidates). Ensure compliance
with Immigration, I-9 and all other
federal and state laws and requirements
Perform
difficult staffing duties, including
dealing with understaffing, refereeing
disputes, firing employees and
administering disciplinary procedures
Partner
across departments to execute layoff and
rehire programs for seasonal employees
Ensure
the maintenance and accuracy of HRIS (Kronos).
Guarantee the timeliness of all required
reporting for EDD, INS, Dept. of Labor
and other regulatory agencies
Organize
and execute proper maintenance of HR
records so they’re audit-ready at all
times
Represent
the company at personnel-related
hearings and investigations
Assist in
administration of company benefit
programs, including medical, vision,
dental, life and 401(k).
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill
For Human Resources Manager Operations –
Traveling Job
4-8
years’ Human Resources management
experience in a manufacturing or
warehouse environment; experience
with a seasonal workforce in the
agriculture industry or large-scale
food processing preferred
Experience supporting a front line
organization
Ability to understand business
operations from both a strategic and
tactical perspective
Fluency in English and Spanish
(spoken and written)
Ability to effectively manage
multiple projects with overlapping
tasks, and to work independently
with minimal supervision
Strong leadership skills; ability to
influence individuals at all levels
within multiple organizations
Flexible and collaborative, with a
proven ability to deliver business
results in a dynamic environment
Advanced proficiency in MS Word,
Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; ADP,
Kronos or other HRIS experience
Solid
organizational skills, including
project management and planning
Ability to work a flexible weekly
schedule, including weekends on
occasion.
