Human Resources (HR) Intern Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Human Resources (HR) Intern will report to the Recruiting Manager and support the Shared Services recruiting team. He/She will work with and learn all aspects of recruiting including but not limited to; creating requisitions, sourcing, screening, interview logistics, background checks, etc.

Job Description:

The Human Resources (HR) Intern will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Schedule phone interviews, on-site interviews, and coordinate travel for remote candidates

  • Assist recruiters with screening applicant's skills as they relate to our open positions

  • Perform background, education, and reference checks on candidates

  • Maintain internal applicant tracking system by ensuring candidates are moved appropriately in requisitions and the pertinent data is being tracked

  • Assist with the campus recruiting program

  • Source for prospective candidates utilizing various methods including internet job boards, alumni networks, networking, direct sourcing through linkedin, peopleclick, sourcepoint, etc.

  • Run weekly and monthly recruiting reports and dashboards.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Human Resources (HR) Intern Job

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Accurate and detail oriented
  • Motivated self-starter, with excellent communication skills and a high-level of integrity.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Human Resources (HR) Intern Job

  • Degree in Human Resources or Business, or must be enrolled in a college program in pursuit of a Human Resources or Business degree.
