Job Summary:
The Human
Resources Generalist (HRG), reporting to the
Director of Human Resources, will
provide a variety of generalist services
to assigned customer groups. He/She will
actively partner with various groups to
accomplish targeted objectives. Job
Description:
The
Human Resources Generalist (HRG) will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:

Support HR functions and provide
positive mentoring and training to all
levels of the employee base to ensure
job success. Functions will include:
Employee Relations, Communications,
Training, Compensation, and Employee
Benefits -
Partner with team members and leaders to
communicate and educate on various HR
policies, procedures, and laws -
Mentor and coach leadership team on
employee relations issues and provide
guidance consistent with company
policies, procedures, and practices and
industry best practices -
Develop, recommend and administer
solutions on a variety of Human
Resources topics throughout Company's
various Value Streams -
Focus on continuous development and
execution of corporate-wide HR programs
and procedures in partnership with cross
functional teams -
Actively and openly work to reduce waste
in processes, and evaluate and apply
lean principals to areas of
responsibility -
Assist in the development and
implementation of employment policies
and procedures
Prepare performance management tracking
and salary administration reports for
management. Notify managers/supervisors
in a timely manner when performance
reviews for direct reports are due.
Provide follow-up performance management
tracking and salary administration
reports for senior management as
necessary
Coordinate the establishment and
maintenance of employment files for new
employees and terminated employees in
accordance with company, state, and
federal policy and employment law
compliance requirements
Coordinate and conduct exit interviews
and provide outplacement-counseling
support in accordance with company
policy
Participate in the development and
maintenance of the Company’s affirmative
action programs; filing of annual EEO-1
report, maintenance of other records,
reports, and logs to ensure conformance
and compliance with state and federal
EEOC and Affirmative Action employee
record keeping and reporting
requirements
Provide input and recommendations for
the annual budgeting process
Participate in the development and
establishment of department goals,
objectives, and systems that directly
impact HR strategy and overall business
plans of the corporation
Develop, recommend, and implement
appropriate HR strategies that meet the
business objectives of the corporation.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill
For Human Resources Generalist (HRG) Job

Broad range of Human Resources
Generalist experience with knowledge
of employment laws including, but
not limited to: Title VII, FMLA,
ADA, WARN Act, ADEA, OWBPA, EEO,
FLSA

Experience handling multiple
projects simultaneously, delivering
on deadlines and collaborating with
team members to complete projects
efficiently and effectively
-
Possess excellent communication
skills (verbal and written) and
ability to effectively present
information through PowerPoint
presentations
-
Proficient in MS Office Suite and
ADP Pro
-
Possess the high standards of
leadership and integrity
-
Ability to work well unsupervised
and as part of a global team;
establish solid working relationship
with all levels of the organization
-
Experience with union relations,
compensation, benefits, training and
communications highly preferred
-
Project management experience with
experience managing multiple project
tasks and milestones
-
Continuous Improvement/Lean
experience.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For
Human Resources Generalist (HRG) Job
Bachelor's degree and 2+ years of
Human Resources experience.
Experience must be in a Generalist
capacity with emphasis in employee
relations, coaching and counseling,
and working effectively with
leadership
PHR or SPHR certification.
