Human Resources Field Support Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Human Resources Field Support will participate in the implementation and monitoring of human resource policies and objectives for the stores; and act as an advisor to store managers. 

Job Description:

The Human Resources Field Support will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Provide HR information as needed and to support management and executive members in their decision-making processes

  • Provide human resources related training to store management and employees as needed

  • Respond to field requests and reinforce and model the necessary employee relations practices to establish positive employer-employee relationships and promote a high level of employee morale, including programs and events that offer recognition to employees

  • Verify company, federal and state procedures are carried out in the field in accordance with the law

  • Assist in the preparation of the information required for compliance with legal requirements and government reporting regulations affecting human resource functions (EEO, ERISA, Wage and Hour, etc.) on national issues

  • Submit reports to HR Manager regarding field visits and any employee related issues

  • Confer with human resources manager regarding suggested course of action and advise management on non-exempt employee related matters

  • Investigate complaints for non-exempt employee related matters

  • Respond to and resolve employee relation issues for non-exempt employees at the store level

  • Prepare written documentation for non-exempt employees at store level

  • Process unemployment claims and participate in hearings as necessary

  • Ensure labor law posters and required postings are in place in all facilities.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Human Resources Field Support Job

  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
  • Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public
  • Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume
  • Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra and geometry
  • Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists
  • Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form
  • Ability to utilize MSWord, Excel, and HRIS
  • Knowledge of applicable labor laws regarding EEO/AAP, HIPAA, FMLA, ADA, etc.
  • Ability to travel with some overnight stays
  • Meet driver’s license requirements required by Company.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Human Resources Field Support Job

  • Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • PHR preferred.
