Human Resources (HR) Director Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Human Resources (HR) Director will be responsible for providing day-to-day HR operational support, develop and implement human resource programs and processes and resolve employee relations issues when they arise.

The Human Resources Director will work as a consultant and partner with senior leaders to develop and implement people strategies that achieve business and organizational objectives. He/She will lead cultural, change, organizational and enterprise initiatives, build internal business partnerships to execute organization-specific initiatives, provide coaching and consultation with regards to people development and engagement, team building, organizational design and effectiveness. 

Job Description:

The Human Resources (HR) Director will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Drive a collaborative & supportive high performing work environment

  • Lead change management and employee engagement strategies to ensure alignment of resources

  • Plan, organize and direct HR&A activities to ensure the acquisition, development and retention of qualified employees

  • Provide expertise in the identification, development and implementation of best practices & process improvements for effectiveness

  • Serve as a resource to department managers and other employees

  • Coordinate the overall education program for all staff in conjunction with the Education Coordinator

  • Monitor Employee Health activities and Workers' Compensation management

  • Assist with Benefits Administration

  • Act as liaison between Corporate HR and the Company management

  • Ensure appropriate documentation and record-keeping for regulatory compliance.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Human Resources (HR) Director Job

  • 12-15 years of management experience in a directly related field
  • Excellent knowledge and experience using PowerPoint, MS Word, & Excel
  • Excellent and well founded, written and oral communication skills are absolutely essential
  • Demonstrated team-oriented mindset with ability to encourage and motivate co-workers
  • Previous supply maintenance or transportation experience is a major plus.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Human Resources (HR) Director Job

  • B.A. in related field
  • Professional in Human Resources (PHR) and/or SPHR certification preferred.
