Job Summary:
The
District Human Resources Manager -
Security Services will be responsible
for overseeing and directing support
functions within the district / market
including the employee lifecycle
(recruiting, selection, retention,
growth) for branch and security
personnel. He/She will plan, monitor,
supervise, direct the work of direct
reports to ensure that all established
goals are achieved.
The
District Human Resources Manager -
Security Services will support and
partner with operations managers in
contributing to appropriate hiring and
retention of employees.
Job
Description:
The
District Human Resources Manager -
Security Services will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
Assure that direct reports are
trained in HR regulatory
requirements (company and
government) – licensing, I-9s, FMLA,
military leave, recruiting paperwork
and tests required for hiring,
state, OHSA, etc.
Plan,
monitor, supervise assigned
recruiting and/or training personnel
to ensure that all established goals
and objectives (NBOT, OJT, MSO,
etc.) are achieved
Assist in recruitment, interviewing,
hiring all district exempt/support
personnel as requested or required
Assure compliance with regulatory
and contract requirements
Investigate employee complaints
assuring that they are logged onto
Complaint Log, resolved within 10
days, and all documentation of
complaint, interviews,
recommendations and resolution is
complete and filed (with handwritten
notes) pertaining to the
investigation
Performance Management – Partner
with District Manager to
- Develop and follow through
timelines of performance improvement
action plans for Account Managers
showing deficiencies.
- Assist in development Account
Managers through training, formal
and informal, related to enhancing
supervisory skills, understanding
employment laws and processes, and
reducing liability claims
Unemployment management – Work with
operations managers to assure timely
inactivations with appropriate
documentation and coding. This is
accomplished through training and
regular distribution and follow-up
regarding the Last Day Worked Report
Hold
focus groups of hourly security
personnel at client sites, providing
confidential documentation of issues
(to DM) and planning next steps and
action plans
Audit
employee records and forms to assure
compliance with company and
government regulations (licensing,
I-9s, pre-hire requirements, etc.).
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill

Security Services Job
Broad
knowledge of human resources
legislation and local employment
laws
Knowledge of recruiting techniques /
fundamentals
4
years hands-on experience in HR /
employee relations
4-5
years business and management /
supervisory experience
Customer service orientation,
open-minded disposition
Excellent interpersonal and
communication skills (verbal and
written) with staff at all levels
Sound
judgment, strong attention to
detail, and proficiency in MS Office
and HRIS systems.
