The Vice President Engineering - Software will be responsible for managing the software development, quality assurance and technical operations teams, while working with Company product management team to develop world class products, engaging with customers, and partnering with the leadership team on overall business success.

 Job Description:

• Lead software development, technical operations and software quality assurance functions to own and drive successful delivery of all products while contributing to the product strategy and the overall product roadmap

• Recruit a world class engineering, operations and quality assurance team and utilize external resources to drive initiatives and product high quality products

• Set the technical direction for the team, drive the evolution of the systems architecture, and make appropriate technology choices

• Take a hands-on approach to the entire software development life-cycle: develop project and resource plans / schedules; perform day-to-day project management to ensure successful, on-time releases; assist the team in accomplishing all tasks; demonstrate ownership and accountability for the entire product delivery process

• Work effectively with product managers, project managers, engineers, and the senior management team to allocate engineering resources appropriately across various projects, juggling current customer/prospect needs with longer term product roadmap needs (weighing, balancing, & communicating the tradeoffs as necessary)

• Implement processes and metrics to insure that the engineering organization is extremely efficient and focused, and that the product is market ready

• Manage expectations, set realistic goals, and achieve them

• Function as an executive sponsor to Company major customers / partners, and mobilize the team to effectively resolve and deal with major customer issues
