The Network Engineering Manager will be responsible for leading the operation of an engineering team focused on the network technology components and process of Transitioning customers.

Job Description:

• Provide management oversight to a team of network consulting engineers in order to achieve all objectives and the execution of assigned roles and responsibilities

• Direct the daily work efforts of all reporting personnel

• Execute all personnel actions

• Report to a group manager of network consulting or a director of engineering or technology

• Provide leadership and direction for assigned team to attain completion of all objectives

• Determine workload, assign priorities, track progress, and ensure completion of all projects in order to meet business objectives for the team

• Manage the planning, design, implementation, and on going support for customer enterprise networks

• Manage personnel activities of staff (hire, train, performance evaluation, compensation, termination) to ensure business objectives of the organization are attained in compliance with all corporate policies

• Establish appropriate processes and interfaces to both internal and external organizations in order to attain maximum operating efficiency within the team

• Drive and resolve issues that will further enhance overall team success

• Ensure assigned work is within scope of responsibilities and complies with best business practices. Typically does not directly manage an assigned budget, but responsible to ensure actions of the team are consistent with P&L objectives of the organization

• Manage the overall activities of the department to ensure consistent delivery of results based on overall organizational objectives and service level agreements

• Ensure compliance with all contractual commitments

• Develop and track appropriate metrics for determining organizational effectiveness

• Maintain technical knowledge and stays abreast of technical advancements in primary functional areas of responsibility
