Job Summary:

The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for completing engineering tasks focused on bringing new products to market. He/She will collaborate cross functionally with industrial design, marketing and other key business functions to drive successful new product development, provide value added enhancements to the end user, and facilitate sustaining engineering for product platforms.

Job Description:

The Mechanical Engineer will perform all or some of the following Job description:

• The Mechanical Engineer will work with an engineering team to take designs from concept through to manufacturing utilizing a robust process that includes specific milestones measuring the project's ability to meet consumer and business expectations

• He/She will be an engineering team member of a strategic product group, contributing to new product ideation, and product/feature design & development from concept to sustained manufacturing

• Develop innovative new products that meet the customer expectations as well as quality and financial requirements. This will require implementation of engineering principles including application of DF(X) to part design, strength of materials, and manufacturing methods

• The Mechanical Engineer will utilize innovative thinking to originate new ideas to improve product performance and cost

• He/She will review products viability in terms of consumer use and assembly, manufacturability, and product and capital cost requirements

• He/She will collaborate with overseas manufacturing, including production line auditing, production control documentation review, vendor qualifying and engineering co-development; qualify first articles for production

• The Mechanical Engineer will support the development of comprehensive Engineering Product Specifications, Quality and Audit Plans and Engineering drawings; develop concepts into working prototypes for testing

• He/She will deliver 3D and 2D engineering data to ensure products are executed correctly to the design intent.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Mechanical Engineer Job

• The Mechanical Engineer will possess strong project management skill

• Ability to understand and apply principles, concepts, theories, technologies and standards of the Product Engineering Field

• Knowledge of related industry considerations

• Ability to work under general direction

• The Mechanical Engineer will have the ability to apply knowledge and understanding of customer needs to the solution

• He/She will possess Mechanical Aptitude for interpretation of mechanical drawing specifications

• Possess working knowledge of Pro/Engineer or comparable 3D CAD design software

• Knowledge and understanding of manufacturing-driven design issues

• The Mechanical Engineer should possess knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing

• He/She should possess adequate experience working in a Product Development Environment

• Possess analysis experience (FEA or Pro/Mechanica)

• Adequate experience with powertrains, frame assemblies, heavy weldments, and large castings

• The Mechanical Engineer should possess excellent communication skills - both written & verbal; excellent “hands-on” experience.

Mechanical Engineer - Gas Plant & Liquids Pumping Station will perform hydraulic analysis and design of surface facilities related to underground storage including water, brine and hydrocarbon pipelines, pumping systems, solution mining leaching plants and hydrocarbon handling equipment.

Job Description:

The Mechanical Engineer - Gas Plant & Liquids Pumping Station will perform all or some of the following job description:

• He/She will perform thermodynamic simulations and hydraulic modeling of storage caverns, including natural gas caverns, natural gas liquid caverns and compressed air caverns

• Perform cost estimates for hydrocarbon storage sites and related surface facilities

• Perform development of process flow diagrams, piping and instrumentation diagrams, plan drawings, well cross section drawing and piping drawings

• The Mechanical Engineer will perform other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Mechanical Engineer - Gas Plant & Liquids Pumping Station Job

• He/She should possess experience with engineering, procurement & construction of gas handling facilities and gas compression

• Experience with salt cavern or reservoir storage facilities

• The Mechanical Engineer should have excellent MS office skills

• He/She should be able to manage smaller design and construction projects

• Work independently with minimal supervision

• He/She should have the ability for occasional travel.
