Job Summary:
The
Engineer - Guidance - Navigation and
Control will be responsible for leading
technical developments as well as tools
and process innovations to support the
entire enterprise for both manned and
unmanned platforms.

The
Engineer - Guidance - Navigation and
Control will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
-
Serve
as a consultant to top management in
long-range company RandD planning
-
Lead
the GNandC IPT on large programs
-
Perform duties across GNandC
requirements and architecture;
flight dynamics and control; flying
qualities; air data algorithms;
aeroservoelastic (ASE) control;
flight subsystem control; guidance,
navigation and autonomy; GNandC
laboratory simulation modeling; and
GNandC laboratory and vehicle test
including flight clearance and
certification

Perform
additional duties as may be
assigned.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
Skill For Engineer - Guidance -
Navigation and Control Job

20 years of related experience
-
Subject
matter expert (SME) knowledge and
expertise in aircraft flight dynamics,
modeling and simulation, and development
of GNandC algorithms using both
classical and modern control methods
employing industry-standard tool suites
-
Demonstrated leader with experience in
the areas of aerodynamics, structural
dynamics, propulsion, weapons, and
utility subsystems integration with
GNandC
-
Experience with Matlab/Simulink tool
suite for control law
analysis/synthesis/modeling and
simulation and automated code generation
-
Working
knowledge of air data; inertial
navigation systems/global positioning
systems; communication databuses and
systems; and flight control actuation
and utility actuation
-
Proven track record of successful
project leadership without appreciable
direction in guiding a team conducting
system studies and developing GNandC as
part of a prototype, or system
development and demonstration, or
production program
-
Experience in hierarchical hybrid
control system concepts for
autonomous/cooperative UAV systems
-
Familiarity with embedded vehicle
management systems or flight control
systems, mission management systems,
mission control stations/ground control
segments, and flight termination systems
-
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
within 18 months.

degree in Math, Physics, Aerospace,
Mechanical or Electrical engineering

Advanced Degree in Math, Aerospace,
Mechanical, or Electrical
engineering, or related fields.
