Job Summary:

The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for developing and maintaining electrical systems and components. This position will support existing products and new development.

Job Description:

The Electrical Engineer will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • He/She will work with other Engineering teams, Company internal and external customers to develop product functional specifications and technical design for products and subsystems used in the manufacturing industry

  • Work alone or as part of a team to develop (or modify existing) designs to satisfy functional specifications

  • Develop component or module replacements to address obsolescence in existing products

  • The Electrical Engineer will document all engineering designs, drawings, processes, etc. according to relevant ISO 9001 and best practice procedures

  • Design and test various electrical components and systems including power, ground and signal distribution, cable diagrams, digital and analog PCB’s and motion control devices

  • Conduct design reviews, report status and participate in project meetings as required

  • He/She will assume responsibility for the technical aspect of assigned projects

  • The Electrical Engineer will initiate, write, review, and approve Engineering Change Notices for electrical and electronic components.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Electrical Engineer Job

  • He/She should have at least 5 years relevant experience in electrical engineering

  • He/She should possess Auto-CAD experience

  • The Electrical Engineer should have Schematic and PCB Background

  • He/She should have experience in the following areas: power, ground and signal distribution; analog and digital circuit design; interface circuits and protocols; PCB design; A/D, D/A and data acquisition

  • He/She should have solid working knowledge of good engineering design and change processes.

Job Summary:

The Electrical Engineer - Telecommunication will read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and computer-generated reports. He/She will confer with engineers and other personnel to implement operating procedures, resolve system malfunctions, and provide technical information.

Job Description:

The Electrical Engineer - Telecommunications will perform all or some of the following job description:

  • He/She will research and analyze customer design proposals, specifications, manuals, and other data to evaluate the feasibility, cost, and maintenance requirements of designs or applications

  • Specify system components or direct modification of products to ensure conformance with engineering design and performance specifications

  • Research, design, evaluate, install, operate, and maintain mechanical products, equipment, systems and processes to meet requirements, applying knowledge of engineering principles

  • The Electrical Engineer will investigate equipment failures and difficulties to diagnose faulty operation, and to make recommendations to maintenance crew

  • Assist drafters in developing the structural design of products, using drafting tools or computer-assisted design/drafting equipment and software

  • Provide feedback to design engineers on customer problems and needs

  • Oversee installation, operation, maintenance, and repair to ensure that machines and equipment are installed and functioning according to specifications

  • The Electrical Engineer will conduct research that test and analyze the feasibility, design, operation and performance of equipment, components and systems

  • Develop and test models of alternate designs and processing methods to assess feasibility, operating condition effects, possible new applications and necessity of modification

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Electrical Engineer - Telecommunications Job

  • He/She should possess a comprehensive technical knowledge with strong communication skills (written & oral), and strong customer interface skills

  • He/She should possess related engineering experience

  • 2 years related engineering or technician experience in Telecommunication/RF experience in Video technologies, telephone systems, satellite and tactical radio concepts, developing and de-conflicting comm

  • The Electrical Engineer should have the ability to plan and analyze antenna performance and architectures on existing platforms

  • He/She should have strong written, verbal, analytical, and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to use Solidworks, AutoCAD, Microsoft Excel, Word, Visio, PowerPoint, and Outlook

  • Ability to read and interpret requirement documents relating to DoD aircraft design for integration and modification, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals

  • The Electrical Engineer should have the ability to write routine reports and correspondence

  • Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of organization

  • He/She should be able to analyze and evaluate requirements, develop courses of action, experiment and test solutions that address directed capabilities gaps, integrate systems and enable interoperability

  • He/She should be able to provide engineering analysis of aircraft antenna limitations to include determining and documenting existing LOS and BLOS limitations, develop schematic of possible solutions and recommending courses of action.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Electrical Engineer - Telecommunications Job

  • Masters Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering from a Accreditation Board of Engineering and Technology (ABET) accredited institution

  • Current registration as a professional engineer by any State, or Evidence of having successfully passed the Engineer-in-Training (EIT) examination, or the written test required for professional registration administered by the Boards of Engineering Examiners in the various States, the District of Columbia, Guam and Puerto Rico or successful completion of at least 60 semester hours of courses in the physical, mathematical, and engineering sciences and in engineering that included the courses specified in the basic requirement, or successful completion of a curriculum leading to a bachelor degree in engineering technology or in an appropriate professional field

  • - ITIL V3 Foundations Certification desired, DoD compliance 8570 applies

  • Current TS Clearance and meet the requirements of DCID 6/4.

Other Electrical Engineer - Telecommunications Job Requirements

  • May require shift and weekend work

  • May require deployments to CONUS and OCONUS locations worldwide, and may include hazardous duty areas

  • While deployments can be of a duration of up to 180 days, this position typically deploys on an as-required basis

  • Candidate may be required to carry a pager to respond to on-call support outside normally scheduled hours

  • The work is typically performed in an office environment and at client site locations, which requires proper safety precautions

  • Work may require some physical effort in the handling of light materials, boxes or equipment.
