Commercial Customer Service Representative Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Commercial Customer Service Representative will be responsible for ensuring that customers receive the best service possible through processing orders, preparing general correspondence, and coordinating with other functions as required. He/She will act as customer contact regarding pricing, scheduling and shipping. The Commercial Customer Service Representative will provide support role assistance to the commercial sales function.

Job Description:

The Commercial Customer Service Representative will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Research, identify and compile lists of prospective customers for use as sales leads based on information from direct mailing/advertisement, internet research, community activities, and other resources

  • Place outbound calls and/or handle incoming calls from the existing account base to add services, follow-up on renewal agreements

  • Develop and maintain close customer relationships thorough understanding of client needs; troubleshoot customer issues

  • Speak regularly with prospects to continue to build and enhance potential business opportunities throughout business sales cycle

  • Prepare sales contracts and renewal agreements. Obtain approvals where required

  • Enter new customer data and other sales data for current customers into computer database

  • Assist in the investigation and collection of overdue balances on customer accounts

  • Assist in calling commercial customers to confirm scheduled lawn/horticulture treatment

  • Contact canceling customers to resolve concerns and retain the customer’s business

  • Record and report service and cancel information to commercial business management

  • May solicit sale of new or additional services to commercial customers through cold calling, cross selling and networking.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Commercial Customer Service Representative Job

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
