The Area Construction Electrical Superintendent will perform a variety of Electrical Construction task including: planning, organizing , and supervising a specific portions of construction work for an assigned area of a construction project

He/She will schedule major electrical construction tasks, engage the services of local electrical subcontractors (including the authorization of overtime and the approval of payment). Also, The Area Construction Electrical Superintendent will coordinate the activities of direct hire electrical craft, electrical craft supervisors, electrical foremen, and electrical subcontractors.

He/She will ensure continuity of job progress and maximize efficiencies related to the assigned area as well as serve as the primary point of contact with the client and the electrical subcontractors.  

Job Description:

• The Area Construction Electrical Superintendent will be supervisor over direct hire electrical craft, electrical craft supervisors, electrical foremen, and electrical subcontractors on installation of electrical conduit, electrical equipment, wiring installation, any/all electrical components on a large construction project

• He/She will make recommendations and participate in the planning of electrical construction operations and make decisions on electrical manpower requirements and the type and size of equipment to be used

• The Area Construction Electrical Superintendent will plan the sequence and number of electrical construction activities to be placed in progress in the operational program

• Supervise the daily activities of direct hire electrical craft, electrical craft supervisors, electrical foremen, and electrical subcontractors. This includes supervising, directing, and designating work assignments for electrical work

• Maintain surveillance of labor performance, manpower allocation, and effective use of tools and equipment

• The Area Construction Electrical Superintendent will ensure the use of sound construction practices to attain required quality control at the maximum efficiency and minimum cost

• Monitor electrical subcontractor operations including enforcement of all contractual obligation as well as initiate and obtain acceptance of appropriate back charges to subcontractors

• The Area Construction Electrical Superintendent will understand and apply the company labor relations policies along with performing other responsibilities associated with this position as may be appropriate. 

• The Area Construction Electrical Superintendent should have 10 to 12 years of experience in electrical field construction
• Experienced in the construction of large civil/structural and/or industrial projects at domestic and/or foreign locations preferred
• Possess comprehensive knowledge of construction-related processes, including installation of electrical conduit, electrical equipment, wiring installation, any/all electrical components, as well as a working knowledge of industry practices
• The Area Construction Electrical Superintendent should have proven leadership capability.
