Description:
The
System Administrator/Computer Operator will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
-
Analyze, log, track and resolve
complex software/hardware matters of
significance pertaining to
networking connectivity issues,
printer, servers, and applications
to meet business needs
-
Coordinate hardware/software
installations and upgrades to ensure
work is properly performed in
accordance with company policy
-
Recommend resolution to complex
matters of significance and
coordinate the implementation of the
approved course of action
-
Coordinate and monitor
troubleshooting to isolate and
diagnose common system problems
-
Document system events to ensure
continuous functioning
-
Recommend course of action and
implement as approved
-
Oversee the installation of client
department-specific applications and
systems
Ensure installations are in
accordance with appropriate
operating procedures
Determine revisions or updates to
installation as needed
Coordinate testing, upgrades and
configuration of system files and
services
Ensure changes are in accordance
with appropriate operating
procedures
Recommend revisions or changes based
upon results
Prepare for and prescribe approaches
to possible downstream implications
Utilize standard corporate tools to
record change and problem activities
for tracking purposes.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
Skill For System Administrator/Computer Operator Job

Four+
years of experience with computer
systems or networking
-
Experience working with computer
hardware for installation and
upgrades
-
Experience working with software
installation/upgrading procedures
-
Experience working with file and
system maintenance procedures
-
Experience with DISA Gold Disk,
Retina Scans, and VMS systems
-
Experience in vulnerability
mitigation, repair, and resolution
-
Experience with remote IT tools
-
Knowledge of Remedy Action Request
System
-
Good
organization skills to balance and
prioritize work, and multitask
-
Good
analytical and problem solving
skills to troubleshoot systems
problems
-
Good
communication skills to communicate
with support personnel, customers,
and managers
-
Ability to work independently and as
part of a team.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For
System Administrator/Computer Operator Job

Bachelor's degree in computer
science or equivalent combination of
education and experience.
