Description:
The
Software Engineer - Computer Scientist will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
-
Act
as technical lead on applied
research and development projects
involving computer and network
security, computer and network
forensics, and related topic areas
of interest to the Organization
-
Use
case analysis, software engineering
design, user interaction,
multi-organization development
teams, usability testing and
evaluation, and incorporating
cutting edge computer science
technologies in decision support
applications
-
Lead
small teams of computer scientists
and/or information assurance
researchers
-
Perform software engineering
(including both reverse engineering
and programming/scripting) and
systems engineering tasks required
to understand the function of
malicious software.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge /
Skill For Software Engineer - Computer Scientist Job

years information assurance
experience dealing with complex
systems and operating environments
-
Experience in software development,
computer system administration, and
network administration in a
multi-operating system,
multi-network environment
-
Demonstrated excellent analytical,
written, verbal and interpersonal
communication skills
-
Experience in a wide range of
computer and network security with a
focus on application to real-world
problems
-
Good
to excellent skills in programming
languages, particularly in Python or
Java, but also in C/C++
-
Ability to obtain and maintain a
U.S. Government personnel security
clearance
-
Ability to understand team member's
strengths and weaknesses in order to
maximize productive output
-
Knowledge and confidence to present
a reasonable argument for various
approaches, but also the ability to
accommodate other ideas and
viewpoints
-
Demonstrated mastery of software
exploits
-
Articulate and the ability to give
technical presentations that are
relevant and understandable.
