Job Summary:
The
Cooperative Associate - Station Computer
Engineering is
a temporarily employed full-time college
student in an accredited four-year
institution of higher learning, who is
offered a work-study program designed to
give college students practical work
experience in their field of study. This
program often helps students determine
career interests. Beyond the scope of
the actual tasks performed, the student
becomes familiar with a corporate
environment and gains practical skills
and knowledge to supplement their
classroom experience.

The
Cooperative Associate - Station Computer
Engineering will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:

Orientation and completion of
specific system training guides
-
Introduction to Software Quality
Assurance
-
Develop a mini plan to correct the
issue
-
Perform some R&D off-line to prove
the solution
-
Develop a plant change mechanism to
install, document, and test the
solution
-
Perform the installation
-
Participate in the testing
-
Assist in projects, such as
developing software for Plant
Computer Application; developing
software for the Training Simulator;
Researching Preventive Maintenance
Data for cost saving considerations;
Performing assessments of Computer
System Architecture for Security and
optimization.

Have
an acceptable overall grade point
average, generally not lower than a
3.3
-
Eligible to work in accordance with
Bureau of Citizenship and
Immigration Services (BCIS)
regulations
-
Ability to provide an official
student transcript and other
required information
-
18
years of age or older
-
Rising Junior majoring in Computer
Science/Engineering, Mechanical
Engineering, Chemical Engineering,
or Electrical Engineering.
-
Ability to work in a team
environment
-
Ability to demonstrate good
interpersonal and communication
skills
-
Ability to understand computer and
digital system architectures
-
Ability to develop program computers
and develop source code.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For

Engineering
Job

Enrolled in an accredited college or
university program
-
Enrolled
in a curriculum leading to a
baccalaureate or masters degree in
Computer Science/Engineering,
Mechanical Engineering, Chemical
Engineering, Electrical Engineering,
or a related field
-
Enrolled on a full-time basis (12
semester hours). Students may not
continue as a Co-operative Associate
once they have graduated.
