The Computer Systems Analyst Associate - Blackberry Messaging System will perform all or some of the following Job description:

• Manage BlackBerry accounts and integration with MSExchange using the Organization’s current device and service providers (Verizon, T-Mobile, and AT&T) to the Organization BlackBerry users

• Maintain and monitor to assure high-availability and capacity the BlackBerry infrastructure

• Extend BlackBerry device functionality to meet Federal IT security policy requirements and the Organization-specific security requirements as requested and approved by the Organization

• Enforce secure access to BlackBerry devices through a strong passwords, remote wipes, and password resets

• Minimize user downtime by assuring speedy provisioning or repair and minimize the length and frequency of service outages

• Manage, test and evaluate new devices

• Deploy firmware upgrades

• Provide a point of escalation and support to the Network Operations Center and Field Support Technicians

• Provide 24/7 on-call support for the environment

• Participate in weekend maintenance activities, as required

• Design, develop, program, install, implement, conduct research for, and maintain internal data processing computer systems and utilities, and/or for customers on a contract basis

• Analyze internal or external customers' needs, and determine equipment and software requirements for solutions to problems by means of automated systems; develop customized solutions to customer/user problems

• Establish system parameters and formats; ensure hardware/software compatibility; and coordinate and/or modify user requirements in terms of existing and projected computer capacity and capabilities

• May make programming changes as required to adapt or enhance existing or new programs and/or utilities

• Maintain supplied software packages for internal users

• Analyze new hardware to determine its need or application in the existing or proposed system

• Advise on new techniques and estimated costs associated with new or revised programs and utilities, taking into consideration personnel, time, and hardware requirements, and makes trade-off analyses

• Develop general and detailed documentation describing system specifications and operating instructions; and revise existing systems and procedures to correct deficiencies and maintain more effective data handling, conversion, input/output requirements, and storage.
