The Computer System Security Analyst 5 will perform all or some of the following Job description:

• Design, test, and implement state-of-the-art secure operating systems, networks, and database products

• Conduct risk assessment and provide recommendations for application design

• Involved in a wide range of security issues including architectures, firewalls, electronic data traffic, and network access

• Use encryption technology, penetration and vulnerability analysis of various security technologies, and information technology security research

• May prepare security reports to regulatory agencies

• Provide technical assessment of the security posture of operational networks

• Provide support, security engineering and integration services to team leads and internal company team contacts, other program engineers

• Support interface with prime contractor/customers

• Support the preparation and approval of Security Certification & Authorization (C&A) materials.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Computer System Security Analyst 5 Job

• Demonstrate frequent use and application of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques

• Ability to perform moderately complex professional tasks

• Ability to provide solutions to a variety of technical problems of increasing scope and complexity as assigned

• Ability to work with hardware and software engineers and/or commercial vendors in the selection and evaluation of state-of-the-art secure operating systems, networks, and database products

• Ability to obtain TS/SCI Security Clearance with DHS Suitability

• Nine years working within the information security field, with emphasis on security incident management, intrusion detection, firewall deployment, and computer forensics

• Nine years of Windows OS experience; security device installations, configuration and troubleshooting (e.g., firewall, IDS, etc.); TCP/IP protocol suite (IP, TCP, UDP, ICMP, etc.)

• System administrative skills in LAN/WAN management; application layer protocols (HTTP, FTP, DNS, SMTP, SNMP, etc)

• Technical writing skills.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Computer System Security Analyst 5 Job

• Bachelors degree and/or equivalent experience
• Active TS/SCI clearance with DHS Suitability
• CISSP Certification.
