Job Summary:
The
Computer Programmer Analyst II performs independent
work analyzing data collected in COMPAS, the licensing and
enforcement database application,
generating ad hoc and routine
reports, and identifies data
integrity issues.
Job
Description:
The
Computer Programmer Analyst II will perform all or some of the
following Job description:
-
Perform data analysis for the COMPAS database and data warehouse
-
Develop advanced SQL queries and
create reports for routine and ad
hoc report requests for DOH
employees to support program
management and reporting
requirements
-
Generate ad hoc
reports for the general public
-
Produce reports for the MQA Annual
Report, the Secretary’s Quarterly
Report, and legislative performance
measures
-
Review and analyze
reports prior to release to ensure
the integrity of the data
-
Research, collate, and compile
data for special projects
-
Monitor the SPS tracking system to
ensure incoming requests are
processed in a timely manner
-
Perform data entry into SPS
tracking system to provide status
updates and document report
completion
-
Provide customer
service to the general public and
answer questions received via
e-mail, the internet, and telephone
-
Generate invoices, track payments,
burn reports to CD, and mail CDs
to public customers
-
Analyze and identify requirements
for new software and software
modifications
-
Design custom
client/server software applications
using Microsoft Access
-
Perform
requirements analysis and write
design specifications, other
technical documentation, and
instruction manuals
-
Develop,
install, and maintain custom
software applications, reports, and
data conversion and validation
programs
-
Provide training and
support to users as needed
-
Perform project management as
needed
-
Follow defined business
processes within specified time
frames
-
Prepare project
documentation including but not
limited to, Statements of Work,
project plans, status reports, and
project completion reports
-
Serve as the COMPAS Navigator for
the office, which includes being a
liaison between the office and
Systems Support Services on all
COMPAS issues, and for SSS
initiatives
-
Serve as the first
point of contact for training needs,
technical support, information
dissemination, and trouble-shooting
user problems
-
Train new employees
in the use of COMPAS
-
Attend all COMPAS Navigator meetings or send a
back-up
-
May assist with set-up and
changes to form letters and task
inventories, data cleanup and other
issues related to COMPAS
-
May
produce COMPAS reports as needed
-
Perform related work as required.
