Take complete ownership of
all activities that occur within
Computer Operations

Establish procedures for
maintaining high standards of
accuracy, quality, reliability, and
safety in Computer Operations

Evaluate and develop improved
techniques to ensure accuracy and
on-time postings for all job
streams

Work with internal
employees, as required, to answer
all questions related to the Episys
(Symitar) system

Directly responsible for
implementation and maintenance of
all job files on the host system
-
Accountable for maintaining all host
system parameters
-
Oversee all host
processing including daily, weekly,
monthly and quarterly job streams
-
Maintain complete control over all
host system parameters, defaults and
user setup
-
Oversee server backups and system
monitoring for all mission critical
applications
-
Responsible for
immediately reporting any critical
system failures or downtime to the
proper staff and recording the
events in the system logs
-
Act as main liaison between
Company and all 3rd party
vendors
-
Establish and maintain
client/vendor relationships
including the RFP process, cost
analysis, and vendor recommendation
-
Review new Symitar software release
notes and distributes to staff as
appropriate
-
Obtain department
input to implement new
functionalities in regards to the
new software
-
Oversee and manage
new Symitar software releases to
provide a testing and staging
environment to ensure a smooth
implementation

Develop and train Computer
Operations staff to help them obtain
a better knowledge and overall
understanding of their job duties

Provide exceptional leadership and
motivation to the Computer
Operations staff

Monitor all system down time and
display appropriate information on
the Operations bulletin board
-
Create new efficiencies
through the introduction of best
practices
-
Continuously seeks new
ways of streamlining and fine-tuning
all processing performed by
Operations to create an error-free
environment.
