Computer Installer Job Description

 

 

 

 

Job Description:

The Computer Installer will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Make site visits to Company office locations for the purpose of upgrading personal computer hardware, software and network components in a Windows environment

  • Support the project Manager assigned to the location and report to the Technical Migration Manager.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Computer Installer Job
  • Excellent customer service and inter-personal skills

  • Ability to maintain and foster a solid professional working relationship with other Systems Department personnel either in-house or on-site

  • Ability to maintain and foster a solid professional working relationship with company personnel while on-site

  • Excellent written and verbal skills

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively to both Department and field personnel

  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with supervisory personnel

  • Basic understanding of networking essentials

  • Understand the basic troubleshooting techniques for both NT based Domain and peer-to-peer networks

  • Basic understanding of Domain security protocols and administration

  • Excellent computer hardware background

  • Understand basic troubleshooting techniques for computers and related peripherals

  • Ability to follow instruction and adhere to published company and/or departments standards

  • Ability to function independent of direct supervision

  • Valid driver’s license, clean driving record and appropriate liability insurance

  • Ability to lift 50 pounds.
