Receptionist - Clerical Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Receptionist - Clerical will be responsible for appropriately screening and routing incoming calls, greeting walk-in visitors in a friendly, professional manner, and providing clerical support as assigned. 

Job Description:

The Receptionist - Clerical will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Answer phone in a manner which exemplifies professionalism and friendliness

  • Route phone calls and/or visitors to the appropriate person or department in a professional and timely manner

  • Ensure that all written messages are clear and passed on promptly

  • Process cash sales and complete daily cash deposits

  • Reconcile and audit cash box

  • Perform general duties such as keyboarding, filing, making copies, handling incoming and outgoing mail, and sending correspondence as assigned

  • Perform data entry consisting of updating computer records including customer maintenance and other records as assigned.    

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Receptionist - Clerical Job

  • Strong PC skills (i.e., Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Ability to work quickly and accurately under time constraints and against deadlines
  • Interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Self starter and detail oriented
  • Ability to communicate verbally and in writing
  • Previous customer service related telephone experience.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Receptionist - Clerical Job

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) and a minimum of six months related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
