Job
Description:
The
Junior Buyer - Purchasing Clerical will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
-
Review Material shortages on lists
of materials
-
Monitor supply cabinets and reorders
as needed
-
Look
up purchase history for materials or
supplies
-
Write
up material shortages for
management's review and orders
prints from document control
-
Review requisitions submitted and
acquire at least three bids from
qualified vendors, when applicable
-
Consult catalogue and confer or meet
with vendors to obtain product or
service information such as price,
availability, and delivery schedule
-
Prepare purchase orders or requests
for quotes and make copies for
appropriate departments
-
Issue
requests for quotes for plating and
documents parts sent out for plating
-
Maintain log of purchase order
numbers
-
Receive service-type purchase orders
in system
-
Discuss defective or unacceptable
goods or services with quality
control personnel and vendors to
determine corrective action needed
and return material authorization
numbers
-
Maintain expedites one week prior to
verify status and on time delivery
-
File
purchase orders, new catalogs, and
hard copies of quotes
-
Confer with suppliers concerning
late deliveries and/or expediting
deliveries
-
Pull
history, print and determine
lead-time on quotes for sales
-
Expedite process, planning and
materials.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill
For Junior Buyer - Purchasing Clerical Job

Ability to multitask
-
1-3
years purchasing/clerical experience
-
Knowledge of Microsoft Word and
Excel
-
Willingness to work overtime when
needed including alternating
Saturdays.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For

Associates Degree preferred.
