Clerical Specialist II - Travel Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Clerical Specialist II - Travel will be responsible for handling all State Travel expenditures.

Job Description:

The Clerical Specialist II - Travel will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Possess a State credit card for registrations

  • Perform reconciliation of credit card statement and entering payment into on-line system

  • Perform authorizing charges to the ghost account business travel account for airfare/hotels/etc. and reconciliation of bta account and entering payment into on-line system

  • Receive all travel paperwork prior to trip and obtain any necessary authorizations upon completion of trip

  • Audit paperwork received per State Travel Guidelines

  • Maintain Travel Data Bank

  • Obtain the required justifications per State travel guidelines and ensure all required signature approvals are in order

  • Answer all questions pertaining to State Travel

  • Ensure proper account distribution on payments; and capability to decipher airfare calculations and destinations

  • Responsible for updating/maintaining Travel Policy and Procedure manual and webpage as needed

  • Conduct periodic presentations on travel policy/procedures

  • Perform opening and distribution of mail, and serve as back up for RF Travel position.  

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Clerical Specialist II - Travel Job

  • Four years of relevant experience. 

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Clerical Specialist II - Travel Job

  • Associate's degree and two years of experience (preferably in a Travel/Airline environment).
