Clerical Coordinator - Healthcare Job Description

 

 

 

Job Description:

The Clerical Coordinator - Healthcare will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Maintain constant monitoring of electrocardiogram for designated patients throughout the entire shift

  • Recognize changes in electrocardiogram and inform RN of changes

  • Work as part of a team to maintain organization within the unit, including the processing of orders for tests, procedures and special requests

  • Prioritize and transcribe orders in an accurate, timely and efficient manner

  • Project an image of professionalism in communication, appearance and conduct

  • Support the mission of the Patient Care Services Division

  • Participate in the continuous quality improvement process

  • Maintain a working knowledge of departmental policies, procedures and standards

  • Perform other duties as assigned.    

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Clerical Coordinator - Healthcare Job

  • Demonstrated forward thinking, embrace change and innovation in care, technology and service
  • Demonstrated effective communication
  • Interpersonal skills
  • Organizational ability
  • Knowledge of proper body mechanics, safety measures and infection control
  • Ability to use instructions
  • Knowledge of section specific test information and instrumentation
  • Previous hospital experience or documented course for Clerical Coordinators, which includes knowledge of medical terminology.

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Clerical Coordinator - Healthcare Job

  • Completion of basic arrhythmia course and/or successfully pass ECG test
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
