Clerical Associate Job Description

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Clerical Associate will perform basic clerical duties in an office and/or warehouse environment requiring general knowledge of company and/or organizational procedures.  

Job Description:

The Clerical Associate will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Type memos, reports, letters, statistics, straight copy and other items using a personal computer

  • Access various computer systems and databases to input, retrieve and update data and generate reports

  • Maintain and summarize logs

  • Check accuracy and completeness of reports and forms

  • Operate various business machines (fax, copier, etc.)

  • Sort, file and collate letters, reports, documents, etc.

  • Receive, sort and distribute mail within and outside the company building

  • Weigh, meter and affix postage to mail

  • May have telephone contact inside and outside the Company with vendors and customers

  • Receive and pay invoices and perform basic accounting duties

  • Take telephone messages and refer calls

  • Prepare conference rooms for meetings

  • Order, store and maintain supplies

  • Perform all other duties comparable to the above as assigned

  • Follow established safety practices and procedures.   

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Clerical Associate Job

  • Age of 18, an acceptable driving record and a valid driver's license
  • Satisfactory attendance record and performance ratings in present job
  • Satisfactory results from a security investigation, background investigation and drug test, as required, unless previously met
  • Clerical Telephone Abilities Battery (C-TAB)
  • Excel Skills Test (EST)
  • Keyboarding Skills Test - Level 1 (KST - Lvl 1).
