Job Summary:
The
Clerical Assistant will be
responsible for receiving, classifying,
consolidating, and/or summarizing
documents and information. He/She will
maintain records of documents processed;
compile and maintain various reports in
accordance with standard operating
procedures.

The
Clerical Assistant will perform

description:

The
Clerical Assistant will be responsible for accuracy of assigned
work

He/She will report problems involving
assignments to officer or higher
level administrative support for
resolution

He/She will receive incoming mail and process
requests for information via phone
and/or email in accordance with
established policies and procedures,
particularly regarding
confidentiality
-
Ensure information is forwarded to
the correct department and calls are
routed to the appropriate personnel
-
The
Clerical Assistant may
greet visitors, answer routine
inquires, and direct visitors to the
appropriate office
-
He/She may
contact customers, suppliers, or
other employees outside the
immediate work unit to exchange
information
-
The
Clerical Assistant will maintain accurate records, and neat
filing and storage areas
-
Process documents according to
established procedures and practices
-
Type
letters, forms, and compile reports
from rough drafts and corrected
copies
-
The
Clerical Assistant will assist in maintaining appropriate
office supplies and equipment
-
He/She will assist other personnel as requested.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill
For Clerical Assistant Job
The
Clerical Assistant should have up to
6 months general office experience
Possess basic
computer user skills (data entry,
information look-ups, word
processing)
The
Clerical Assistant must have good
communication skills
(verbal-written-listening) in order
to interact with internal staff and
external clientele or suppliers.
