Publishing Editorial Administrative Assistant Job Description

 

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Publishing Editorial Administrative Assistant will perform a variety of administrative and editorial tasks to support the Company Editorial staff.

Job Description:

The Publishing Editorial Administrative Assistant will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Reconcile financial reports (vendor's payable sheets, payment lists, etc.)

  • Prepare cost estimates for the magazine and 4 books

  • Work with the editors to ensure that all assignments are put into the editorial tracking system and that all contracts have been signed and returned

  • Update Edit issue lineups

  • Sign up freelancers using the company's designated service provider

  • Act as the Tech Department liaison for setting up work stations for freelancers/new hires

  • Prepare expense reports for several senior-level staff members

  • Track staff attendance

  • Coordinate awards submissions

  • Coordinate travel arrangements for the editors

  • Answer reader queries

  • Assist editors with research projects when needed

  • Perform other job related duties.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Publishing Editorial Administrative Assistant Job

  • Related work experience

  • Excellent communicator with superb writing and research skills

  • Good at math and proficient with Excel

  • Extremely organized with ability to handle many projects at once

  • Hardworking, congenial and willing to pitch in when needed. 

Minimum Education Requirements / Certification / Licensure For Publishing Editorial Administrative Assistant Job

  • College graduate.
