Job Summary:

The Administrative Secretary will be responsible for supporting various faculty/directors or doctors in varied duties and perform diversified administrative and secretarial tasks.

Job Description:

The Administrative Secretary will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Assist with grants, research projects, budgets, charts, graphs and a variety of other records

  • Coordinate and schedule meetings, travel, and appointments

  • Type, proof and edit different documents

  • Perform medical transcription from recorded dictation

  • Manage calendars for Division faculty.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Administrative Secretary Job

  • 1-2 years administrative secretarial experience

  • 1-2 years experience in a medical setting

  • Experience in medical terminology, transcribing, manuscript and grant writing

  • Experience in using PC, Excel, Word, PowerPoint and some knowledge of slide prep

  • Typing skills of 45-65wpm

  • Basic secretarial knowledge of filing, xeroxing and using fax and scanning machine

  • Bilingual Spanish/English.
