Administrative Assistant Law Office Job Description

 

 

 

 

Job Summary:

The Administrative Assistant Law Office will be responsible for day-to-day administrative support for several attorneys and/or paralegals. He/She is also responsible for maintaining complex files and supporting complex document productions, and gathering information from outside counsel for accrual reporting.

Job Description:

The Administrative Assistant Law Office will perform all or some of the following Job description:

  • Perform daily activities including communications with clients and outside parties, preparing and sending complex documents and maintaining complex files

  • Prepare correspondence, transcribe tapes, proofread documents and prepare documents for review by paralegals and attorneys

  • Review & track invoices, and coordinate travel & meeting arrangements

  • Perform data entry into the matter management system and hold order system

  • Perform coordination and communication of service of process.

Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill For Administrative Assistant Law Office Job

  • Proficient in Word, Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint and other general applications

  • Five (5) years experience preferred

  • Record of high performance ratings, proven ability to work and get along with others, and capacity to handle significant responsibilities with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to prioritize daily work assignments and manage multi-tasked assignments as well as run reports from legal applications

  • Ability to provide leadership for the administrative function of the organization.
