The
Web Manager IT Communications will be
responsible for all aspects of an IT
employee intranet site. As a key member
of the IT Communications team, he/she
will work in partnership with the
Company Intranet team to mobile strategy
for the IT employee intranet, delivering
online content to desktop and laptop
PCs, as well as mobile devices (mobile
phones, tablets, PDAs, etc.).
The
Web Manager IT Communications will be
involved in developing the long-term
direction for the user experience,
leveraging web analytics to oversee the
governance of the content to make it
meaningful and useful, executing a
technology roadmap that enhances the
capability and functionality of the
intranet site, and promoting the site to
increase employee awareness and usage.
He/she
will be responsible for managing and
successfully executing project plans for
web development with Company and IT web
teams to ensure completion within scope
and budget, including overseeing
interaction with external vendor(s). The
Web Manager IT Communications will work
closely with the Company Intranet and
Internal Web Capabilities teams and will
report directly to the Senior Manager -
Production Services, IT Communications.

Web Manager IT Communications will perform

Create a
cohesive intranet strategy, drive the
direction , user experience and
navigation of the IT employee intranet,
ensure quality content, and strengthen
relationships with intranet contributors
from across the IT organization
Identify
evidence-based improvement
opportunities, track and report results,
articulate competitive threats, and
influence new directions in technology
to evolve the IT employee intranet into
a more compelling tool to drive employee
engagement and provide the information
employees need to do their jobs
Ensure
business requirements related to site
development are developed and
communicated with Company or IT web
developers, designers and systems
support
In
collaboration with the web designer,
develop and implement the graphical and
conceptual direction of the
organization's intranet efforts,
including best practices in web design,
usability, accessibility, and organic
search engine optimization
Make
information architecture decisions for
IT and client sites
Work
closely with project managers and the IT
Communications team to publish quality,
up-to-date content within tight
timeframes
Ensure
that website content is in alignment
with IT organizational strategies,
branding, and objectives
Monitor,
document, and report web server and site
technical performance
Use site
metrics tools to track site traffic,
performance, and page views then produce
reports for site owners
Develop
and implement strategies, including user
experience, functionality, and marketing
campaigns, to raise employee awareness
of the IT intranet and drive traffic and
usage
Create
highly functional solutions in all areas
of web design (including, but not
limited to user experience for mobile
devices, page creation, interactive
presentation, social media, and video
integration)
Employ
search optimization techniques
Research
and recommend best practices for
employee intranets
Develop
and enforce processes, standards, and
web policies for the IT intranet
vendor(s) to coordinate updates,
enhancements, and maintenance for the
site.

web management experience in
following areas: program/project
management, planning, and
budget/financial management
5
years of related IT experience
including IT Project Management
Demonstrated experience making
