Strategic Business Analyst - Information
Technology and Data Analysis will elicit
business needs from Company Seeds and
Traits R&D organization and translate
these needs into a functional strategy
and program requirements for the R&D
Information Technology and Data Analysis
function (ITDA).
Job
Description:
The
Strategic Business Analyst - Information
Technology and Data Analysis will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
-
Liase
between software developers and data
analysts in ITDA, with the global
breeding organization, and variety
development process leaders
-
Define
the ITDA plans and priorities that
deliver software solutions and
analytical results in support of the
goals of Seeds and Traits R&D to improve
plant variety development
-
Perform
needs analysis and prioritization of
concepts for the portfolio of ITDA
software development and data analysis
projects and communication of the
priority decisions to Seeds and Traits
Leaders
-
Participate in strategy development at
the global leadership level within the
Seeds and Traits function, and will
drive implementation within ITDA in
support of this strategy

Identify
new opportunities for ITDA to improve
the integrity and efficiency of Company
plant trait and variety product
development cycle.

Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For
Strategic Business Analyst - Information
Technology and Data Analysis Job
-
Degrees in some aspect of Computer
Science (Data Management, Software
Applications, Computational Biology)
and in a Biological Science
(Agronomy, Biology, Genetics, Plant
Breeding) with at least five years
of work experience in an ag-related
area, preferably in a business
analyst or decision-support position
for a plant breeding or agricultural
biotechnology field program.
