Administer and maintain production installations of Thru mission-critical software application in multiple Data Centers that comprise Thru global application infrastructure (cloud)

As needed, for new infrastructure, install and configure Microsoft SQL and third party libraries to build new Thru application environments

Engineer and deploy releases, enhancements, and upgrades or new Thru applications throughout test, staging and production environments according to specifications

Perform data migration by running T-SQL scripts ad part of application upgrades

Coordinate and manage upgrades of hardware and Windows server software through personnel at managed hosting provider

Continually monitor application infrastructure to assure maximum availability and security

Respond to monitoring alerts to quickly identify trouble source and implement resolution to avoid or reduce duration of an outage

Resolve issues impacting application operations with Data Center equipment and software by using engineering resources of managed hosting provider

Troubleshoot any operating system, security hardware, or network issues locations of the customers connecting to Thru application infrastructure

Provide 2nd Level engineering support; escalate issues per policy to higher tier support resources and management as necessary

Perform research of the technical issues and create documentation for support and training purposes

Recommend new processes and procedures, equipment and software

Maintain relevant and current knowledge within assigned technical fields

Develop and continually refine restore or recovery procedures for errors impacting application operations, integrate recovery with support procedures

Design and develop scripts to automate manual tasks related to operations and maintenance

Administer and enforce IT standards and processes.
