Job Summary:
The
Senior Director Manufacturing IT
Operations
will be responsible for supporting
global manufacturing IT in collaboration
with site IT, enterprise IT (EIT),
Industrial Affairs IT (ISIA), external
partners, regulatory and compliance
groups and others in achieving the goals
of the new IT Operating model; enhancing
inter site, interdivisional
communication and alignment, leading
significant projects with function and
corporate wide impact, facilitating and
influencing function level strategic
planning, building consensus among key
stakeholders on strategic and tactical
decisions, and representing the
Manufacturing IT function in a number of
forums.

Description:
The
Senior Director Manufacturing IT
Operations will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
Lead
Business Process Re-engineering
function wide, working closely with
external consultants, senior site
leadership team, site IT leadership
team, site services, shared platform
services, etc. to ensure processes
across sites are aligned, ROI
maximized, information re-use and
efficiency goals are achieved
Responsible for linking technology
strategy to key global
manufacturing, quality systems, and
corporate operations short and long
term plans
Plan
global function wide business
processes and designing
implementation plans that will
achieve results
Integrate knowledge of the business
and IT to fully address the
implications of various strategic
initiatives, decisions and policies
on maximizing the value of
technology in the organization
Lead
planning and design for key
Manufacturing IT priorities to
guarantee successful execution
Define and manage the new Technology
Governance Committee - established
to provide a functional framework
and context for the technology
roadmap and major technology
investments aligned with business
strategies and processes
Manage Technology Advisory Council
and oversee capital portfolio
planning process, working closely
with capital projects, enterprise
IT, manufacturing steering Committee
(MSOC), solution delivery leads and
financial services
Develop technology and business
planning process in conjunction with
site leads, office of strategy and
architecture
Maintain function wide oversight,
tracking, and reporting of
technology initiatives and projects
Facilitate IT goal setting and
tracking with EIT leadership team
and other strategic technology and
solutions delivery partners
Provide communication development
and execution for internal and
external audiences. Collaborate and
support special communication
projects to increase awareness and
knowledge of technology solutions
and initiatives
Support manufacturing IT and the
larger organization through
significant radical change
Partner with all levels of
leadership to balance multiple
constituencies and priorities
Facilitate teams to achieve
alignment who have competing
priorities and limited resources
both within the manufacturing IT
function as well as externally
across the business
Develop creative business solutions,
as most problems require the
leveraging of resources across the
organization to achieve resolution
Balance strategic cross functional
initiatives that support goals and
objectives of the organization with
the operational realities of
Manufacturing IT and the global
sites and functions it support
Represents and advocates for MQO at
key operational and performance
forums.

Experience in leadership role with
enterprise wide authority
Ability to communicate technical
information across all levels of
technical proficiency
Ability to keep abreast of internal
and external developments and trends
within manufacturing and IT that can
potentially impact ability to
achieve targeted results
Strategic, long-range perspective
and planning skills and ability to
integrate with short-term activity
and to translate into tactical plans
Experience conducting large scale
business process reengineering
efforts
Exemplary career history with a
proven record of success of
achieving business goals and
objectives in positions of
progressively greater responsibility
within an FDA regulated
manufacturing IT or Automation
organization
Outstanding communication skills and
the demonstrated ability to develop
and maintain effective working
relationships at all levels of the
organization and with all key
constituents
Ability to relate this understanding
to current and future strategies
Ability to direct, persuade,
influence and lead to achieve
desired results
Ability to motivate, lead and manage
cross functional teams
Documented strength in analysis,
identification of problems and
problem resolution
Proven hands on experience in
solutions architecture at least in
two of the following (Systems
Engineering, Network Engineering,
Automation, Virtualization, Lab
Automation)
Ability to engender trust and
confidence; high sense of integrity
and ethics
Deep
knowledge of Biologics manufacturing
and 21 CFR 11 compliance
Ability to drive change agendas and
cultural transformation
Superior people management skills in
attracting, retaining, motivating
and developing individuals
