Job Summary:
The
Senior Business Analyst - IT
will be responsible for the analysis of
moderate to complex business
problems/requirements to be solved with
automated systems. He/She will apply a
specific knowledge of the business
combined with knowledge of the systems
technology capabilities to business
problem solving.
The
primary objective of the Senior Business
Analyst - IT is to meet the
information technology needs of the
business unit. He/She will participate
in meetings with users to define and
evaluate business problems, which may be
resolved through automated systems.
He/She will analyze detailed business
requirements, including input and output
requirements, reports, etc.; and provide
recommendations.

The
Senior Business Analyst - IT will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:

Lead
complex projects, conduct and
facilitate meetings

Consult with users and vendors and
develop detailed analysis of user
requirements (business
specification, hardware and software
requirements)

Work
with business leaders and act as a
liaison between IT and business
units (typically leadership for
assigned business units)

Accountable for project status to
PMO and management
-
Clearly demonstrate expertise in
project management, escalation,
process management and business
systems requirements definition
-
Develop implementation and strategic
technology plans
-
Direct solutions to system/business
problems
-
Manage the more moderate to complex
systems related projects and ensure
that business users needs are met
-
Ensure that the design and
integration of proposed system,
software and hardware solutions
leads to the development and growth
of the business through effective
use of technology
-
Lead
project efforts and make independent
decisions to arrive at desired
results
-
Prepare detail written documentation
and business requirements
-
Create work orders
-
Coordinate system staff for
specification changes, testing and
implementation
-
Develop user test plan and test
cases and is responsible for
conducting user testing
-
Accountable for user sign-off of
changes
-
Monitor implementation and user
satisfaction
-
Participate in studies of new
technology
-
Combine research and recommendations
with requirements for systems or
process changes
-
Document methods, hardware, software
or equipment that would enhance
productivity
-
Lead
the gathering of business needs as
well as the design of solutions
through direct interaction with
business unit leaders.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill

Advance communication skills for
composing and writing original
business letters

Detailed business specification,
recommendations and reports for
presentation to management
-
Ability to lead a project efforts
and understand the business and use
of systems
-
7+
years of applicable system programs,
hardware and software knowledge
which includes distributed systems,
Oracle P/SQL, and C
-
7+
Years of Business Analysis
experience in a corporate
environment
-
Commercial
Banking knowledge, including legal
documentation desired
-
AFS
experience.
Minimum Education Requirements /
Certification / Licensure For
Senior Business Analyst - IT Job

Bachelor's Degree in Computer
Science, Information Systems,
Business Administration, or other
related field or work experience.
