The Senior IT Consultant Business Intelligence will act as a liaison between the customer and technical organizations by planning, conducting and directing analysis of moderately complex to highly complex business problems to be solved with technical solutions. He/She will proactively inform and educate business partners of technology opportunities and risks to improve efficiency and effectiveness of supported customer units.

He/She will understand, communicate and advocate for customer goals and strategies to the IT organization. He/She will be responsible for handling complex analysis efforts to validate fully or partially defined requirements and support the development of detailed specifications

The Senior IT Consultant Business Intelligence will proactively recommend technical solutions while working with customers, IT senior management and IT teams using experience to influence the strategic decisions around the solution. He/She will be responsible for producing cost/benefit assessment of projects and conduct requests for information and proposals from outside vendors. He/She will also be expected to provide technical leadership to a wide variety of teams, customers, executives and other stakeholders.

Job Description:

• Proactively engage customer community and managers at all levels to identify and understand key business issues and objectives, evaluate changes for organizational impacts and recommend an action plan

• Facilitate cross-functional teams in designing business/technology solutions

• Develop clear and concise documentation of customer objectives, requirements and detailed specifications on moderate to complex projects or operational issues

• Lead and perform complex problem and workflow analysis, drawing conclusions and recommending resolution opportunities

• Identify emerging trends in IT solutions in order to better align technical solutions with customer needs and ensuring the delivered solution meets customer requirements

• Provide leadership in the development and maintenance of IT technology strategic and development efforts, and includes defining customer and IT initiatives, developing business case and producing high level estimates for initiatives

• Follow industry standard methodologies and guidelines to manage and execute project activities

• Research, inform and recommend opportunities to apply business and technology solutions to areas of assigned responsibilities

• Develop and maintain a strong strategic relationship with executive and senior business leaders serving as a liaison between the business stakeholders and the IT organization

• Develop and present material to Associates, Managers and Executives

• Positively influence stakeholders towards achieving the effective outcomes

• Provide mentorship and direction to less experienced team members. 

• 8 years in an IT environment, preferably healthcare related
• 3 years demonstrated success of influencing decisions on technology and process
• Experience in communicating with all levels of customers, managers and executives, as well as possessing the ability to influence decisions on technology direction
• Proven history of taking accountability for own work and delivering results. Demonstrated ability to form constructive opinions and defend them
• Expert knowledge of analytical tools, relational databases and PC applications
• Proven ability to analyze complex data, processes, configuration tools and methodologies
• Experience in negotiation across organizational boundaries and with outside vendors
• Ability to promote teamwork and lead by example. Unquestionable ethics and integrity is pertinent
• Customer-focused, with demonstrated experience and ability to be flexible with changing priorities, demands and requests
• Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills, demonstrated ability to proactively prevent problems from occurring and work issues to resolution
