Leader will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
Oversee the planning, design and
implementation of new and enhanced
information systems
Oversee the design, modification,
testing, installation, and
implementation of new or existing
applications software. This includes
planning, installation, configuring,
testing, and maintaining the systems
environment, and maintenance of
networked systems
Maintain the Region II web site server,
and ensure the integrity and
availability of systems, networks, and
data through information systems
security policies and procedures
Lead a team of employees engaged in
developing, delivering, and supporting
IT systems and services and
telecommunications services.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill
For Information Technology Specialist -
Team Leader Job
Three years of progressively
responsible professional experience.
This experience must include at
least one year of specialized
experience applying information
technology principles, concepts and
methods related to computer
hardware/software, networking
configurations, and applications
associated with voice, data, and
video communications systems.
Specialized experience includes
experience that demonstrates
extensive knowledge of the theories,
principles and practices in the
field of information technology
Knowledge of the principles and
objectives of the utilization of
Local Area Network/Wide Area Network
(LAN/WAN), IT infrastructure
hardware/software, and
telecommunications
Knowledge of the theory, principles,
and techniques pertaining to
application of network systems and
technology to the collection,
transmission, storage, retrieval and
production of management information
and solution of technical problems
Ability to identify issues and
problems associated with IT
planning, to determine relative
priorities, and to develop
definitive alternatives and possible
solutions for management action
Knowledge of the principles and
objectives of the utilization of IT
infrastructure hardware/software,
telecommunications and network
connectivity
Experience in the installation and
support of IT infrastructure
hardware/software, including but not
limited to workstations,
microcomputers, and peripherals
Knowledge of information technology
customer support environments in the
disciplines of local area networks,
telecommunications, and
microcomputer hardware and software
in order to support an information
technology Help Desk operation and
interface effectively with customers
and contractors in order to resolve
computer and telephone related
problems
Demonstrated ability to analyze
facts, solve problems, and present
findings and recommendations in a
clear, concise, and logical manner,
both orally and in writing.
