Job Summary:
The
Information Technology Specialist -
Systems Analysis will
be responsible for the development of
new theories, concepts, principles,
standards, and methods in IT systems
analysis. He/She will be called upon to
advise other IT experts throughout
Company on a variety of situations and
issues that involve applying or adapting
new theories, concepts, principles,
standards, methods, or practices, that
are developed either by him/her or
others within the organization.
Job
Description:
The
Information Technology Specialist -
Systems Analysis will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
Represent
the Company on work groups established
to develop Companywide IT systems
analysis initiatives and solutions to
critical issues
Negotiate
for the acceptance of positions on key
Companywide systems analysis initiatives
Develop
guidelines for implementing broad
Companywide directives
Align
Company internal business practices with
Companywide regulations and policies
Lead the
evaluation of Company missions, goals,
plans, programs, and business processes
to develop an enterprise IT architecture
plan for the
Company
Conduct
continuing evaluations of Company
business needs to ensure that IT
architecture plans are aligned with
those needs and that the current and
planned IT infrastructure supports the
architecture plan
Develop
plans and strategies to modify the IT
infrastructure to support short and
long-range agency goals, objectives, and
plans
Evaluate,
select, and advise others on the
application of architecture modeling
tool sets used to document, maintain,
and enhance the architectural planning
process.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill
For Information Technology Specialist -
Systems Analysis Job
Experience in planning and
coordinating Company-wide
implementations of process
improvement methods and concepts to
improve the quality of software
products
Experience
serving as the principal advocate
for the application of process
improvement concepts and practices
Experience
consulting with senior specialists
and IT managers in the
implementation of process
improvement practices
Experience
in
integration/interoperability
solutions
IT
systems design experience
Experience
optimizing existing architectures
Experience in application
development, infrastructure, data,
or privacy/security; installed
systems/services; software
applications for
mainframe/PC/Server/Web portal
environment (open source expertise);
Java, J2EE, XML, Redhat LINUX, HTML,
SOAP, SQL, DB2, Oracle,
configuration of the IT
infrastructure.
