Specialist-Desktop Support will be
responsible for providing desktop
administration for Windows XP and or
Linux and Office 2003 and 2007.

The
Information Technology
Specialist-Desktop Support will perform
all or some of the following Job
description:
-
Perform
initial installations, re-imaging, data
recovery and network printer setup and
repair
-
Responsible for backups, test restores,
tape accountability, account creation,
password resets, Anti Virus updates,
software installation and opening /
resolving / closing helpdesk tickets
-
Perform
Frequent inter-organizational and
outside customer contacts in a
classified environment
-
Provide
solutions to a variety of technical
problems of moderate scope and
complexity
-
Perform
frequent customer interaction, work user
issues one on one and through a help
desk ticket system.
Minimum Requirements / Knowledge / Skill

1-2
yrs knowledge Windows XP and or
LINUX desktops
-
1-2
yrs knowledge of Office 2003 and
Office 2007
-
Familiarity with RedHat Workstation
Release 4 or 5
-
Familiarity with Symantec Antivirus
products and Backup Exec or Legato
-
Familiarity with Active Directory
and user management
-
Knowledge of data backup system
safeguards
-
Demonstrated ability to work under
time constraints
-
Proven ability to work with general
supervision and follow established
procedures
-
Effective customer service skills,
including oral and written
communications
-
Active secret clearance.
